Authorities say around two-thirty Saturday morning, two men approached a twenty-two year-old Wayzata, Minnesota man and a twenty-one year-old Eau Claire man on Fourth Avenue and Chippewa Street.
The four men exchanged words and that's when police say one suspect tried to hit the Eau Claire man while the other stabbed the Minnesota man in the chest. Police say the two suspects then fled the area.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment, his injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
