Saturday's sunny weather may have played a role in the smaller than expected group lined up for the second H1N1 vaccine clinic in Eau Claire County.
The clinic, at St. Mary's Community Center in Altoona, immunized 349 people Saturday morning. That's down from 862 people at the first H1N1 clinic on Thursday.
Health Department Director Richard Thoune says the clinics mostly focused on children and families with children under the age four or children ages 5 to 18 with chronic health issues.
Thoune says Saturday's weather may have played a role in attendance.
"It is an awful beautiful day out there so maybe people are waiting for our specific target group clinics later next week," says Thoune.
He says there will be enough vaccines for the clinics held on Monday and Tuesday in the area.
