Dion Funeral Planned at UW-La Crosse
People in La Crosse are gathering today to remember a university student who drowned in the Mississippi River.
Authorities say University of Wisconsin-La Crosse junior Jared Dion drowned after a night out with friends this month.
Friends and family will meet for a memorial service on campus tonight. The service is open to the public. T
The 21-year-old from Pewaukee was the seventh college-aged man to have drowned in La Crosse rivers since 1997.
