Governor Jim Doyle proclaimed Tuesday as Snowplow Driver Appreciation Day. He says the state's 2,000 to 3,000 snowplow drivers play an important role in keeping the state's economy afloat during the winter months.
The proclamation also asks that drivers be careful when they see snowplows on the road and that they not drive during winter storms unless they have to.
