A couple who survived the Greener Grass Fire in September say they're still without a home and now the community is coming together to help them get back on their feet.

Heather Grace and Eric Martin say they were asleep when the fire broke out on September 11, and only survived because their dogs woke them up.

They say they lost everything and have been living in Grace's Grandmother's basement. Grace and Martin say their family has helped them through but it's still been difficult.

"It's still hard coming to terms with it. It's been two months and I still haven't. You go to use stuff that you don't have anymore," says couple.

Donations for the couple can be made to the Grace-Martin Benefit Fund at Bank Mutual on Prairie View Road in Chippewa Falls.
