A fire destroyed a home near Colfax Monday.

A fire destroyed a home near Colfax Monday.
It happened around eleven Monday morning on Highway 40, south of Colfax. Firefighters say the fire started in the back of the house, but they don't know what caused it.
They say no one was hurt.
Firefighters from Colfax, Chippewa Fire Protection District, Menomonie, and Elk Mound all helped put out the fire. They were at the scene until about three Monday afternoon.
The Red Cross is helping the family Monday night.
