Firefighters say a good Samaritan helped a man in a wheelchair get out of his house after it caught fire tonight.
It happened about 7:30 Monday night in the 700-block of Park Avenue in Chippewa Falls. Firefighters say the person was driving by and saw smoke and fire, then helped the man in the wheelchair get out.
Investigators are trying to find a cause, but suspect a cigarette in a trashcan may be to blame.
Firefighters say the fire caused about $20,000 in damage. No one was hurt.
