One thing hunters can aim for this weekend are deer with green ear tags.
DNR Wildlife Biologist, John Dunn says someone vandalized a deer farm and let about two dozen bucks out.
It happened in the eastern part of Eau Claire County. The DNR is encouraging hunters to shoot those deer. He says if you get one, they need to be tested for Chronic Wasting Disease, as a requirement for deer from deer farms.
Dunn says he doesn't think any of those deer will have CWD because it’s not usually present in this area. The deer farm owner is paying for the testing.
