People line the streets to get ready to shop

Most stores in the area were closed Thursday but a hand full stayed open to help out with last minute items.
Many people were sitting down for their Thanksgiving feast or watching the Packers, but a few had to make that last minute run and a few forfeited the day to wait in line.
Jean Pickerign says, "Well I kind of skipped it, my husband is bringing me the Thanksgiving dinner at about 5."
Alex Mahr says, "We want to get one of those cheap laptops for my sister but I think my brother wants a GPS."
As early as 10 Thursday morning, people were lining up at Best Buy wanting to be some of the first people in the door.
"As soon as more people get here we'll start socializing and the time really starts flying then but right now it's kind of cold," says Mahr.
While Best Buy wasn't open, it wasn't the only place closed for the holiday. Parking lots were bare Thursday afternoon with the exception of a few.
Beverly Hitz says, "I'm doing some last minute Thanksgiving shopping, yes."
Micah Stofferahn says, "Nothing really just going out and having some fun that's what we've been looking at PS3's and XBox's so just looking at what deals they'll have on them."
Consumer reports say 65% of shoppers will cut back on shopping this year. Down from last year when 76% of shoppers said they were scaling back on holiday spending. And people we talked to agree they might not want to face the crowds or swipe their cards.
"I think it's going to be really crazy tomorrow. It will be a good day for me to stay home."
"I'm not going shopping, I'm sure someone else will be though, a lot of people will be out. I'm not a fan of the craziness I guess."
And the people in line are hoping for the morning rush to be tame.
"I hope it doesn't get too crowded in here, like it usually does."
A lot of the people out Thursday say their families pushed back the Thanksgiving meal until Friday and are looking forward to a calm day.
