The warm, hazy and stagnant air hanging over much of the state is causing the Department of Natural Resources to issue an air quality watch.

The watch is for people who suffer from lung or heart disease. The weather conditions are keeping pollutants from blowing away.
>
The pollution comes from dust, soot and smoke particles. The elevated levels of fine particles in the air can cause respiratory problems and chest pain.
