Congressman Ron Kind Visits UW-Eau Claire
Congressman Ron Kind visited UW-Eau Claire to talk about how Congress is trying to help future graduates.

Pointing to advancements in other countries, Congressman Ron Kind was at UW-Eau Claire Monday to talk about how Congress is trying to help out future graduates.

Congressman Kind joined leaders from UW-Eau Claire, UW-Stout and CVTC to highlight the new innovation agenda. Last month, the U.S. House passed two measures that aim to increase the number of qualified math and science teachers and to support young scientific researchers in their efforts.

Congressman Ron Kind says, " First, India and China have made the investments in their education and we need to do the same. This is to support math and science here at Eau Claire, CVTC, Stout and River Falls and their basic research programs.

The Legislation also aims to have more qualified teachers in math and science between kindergarten and 12th grade.
