A Wisconsin Dells teen, who turned herself in for underage drinking, faces a fine of $375 and suspension of her driver's license that could last up to a year.

A Baraboo Police Lieutenant says it's extremely rare, but people sometimes do report their own underage drinking to authorities.

Still, it doesn't stop police from handing out a ticket to anyone who's underage and consumes alcohol.

He says it will be up to the courts to decide if 18-year-old Sarah Ward should get any leniency for coming forward on her own.
