Two Chippewa Valley schools are among 95 in the state that did not meet federal standards under the No Child Left Behind Act.
Chippewa Falls Middle School and DeLong Middle School in Eau Claire are on the list for failing to meet federal standards under the law.
According to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, a subgroup of students at the Chippewa Falls Middle School fell below federal reading requirements.
At DeLong Middle School, not enough English language learners, or ELL students took the Wisconsin knowledge and concepts exam.
Stacy Basting with the Eau Claire School District says 90 percent of the school's ELL students took the tests.
The other 10 percent couldn't take the test because translations weren't available.
Schools face sanctions if they fail to make progress for two straight years in the same area, and if they receive federal title one funding to help assist students who live in poverty.
