More people finding jobs this spring cause the unemployment rate in Eau Claire area to plummet.

The seasonally adjusted rate for the Eau Claire-Chippewa Falls metro area dropped from 4.5 percent in March to 4.2 percent in April.

Regional labor officials say the number of job holders in West Central Wisconsin increased by more than 2800 people from March to April.
