Hundreds of people continued to search in the rain today for a 7-year-old autistic boy who disappeared from his home in Wood County
>
Benjamin "Benjy" Heil was playing in the basement of his home when his family realized he was gone and called police Thursday evening. Searchers did not have any luck finding the boy Friday.
>
A lieutenant with the Wood County Sheriff's Department says Saturday's search is on the ground because the air portion of the search had be abandoned for the time being due to the weather.
>
The family warned searchers that Benjy does not respond to his name when called.
>
Sheriff's Sergeant Randal Dorshorst says about 100 law enforcement personnel and volunteers are involved in the search that is centered on a campground near the family's home and on a nearby creek.
>
Rescue boats were used to search the Wisconsin River, which is about 400 yards from the boy's home
