UW-Madison Wins Canoe Competition
UW-Madison wins the National Concrete Canoe Competition, again.

And you thought badgers were land animals.

For the fifth year in a row, UW-Madison won the National Concrete Canoe Competition over the weekend in Seattle.
>
The Wisconsin team used a 179-pound, natural gray canoe, named the Descendent, to capture the "America's Cup of Civil Engineering" prize.
>
The University of Florida came in second with a blue, orange and gray, 135-pound canoe called the Gladigator.
>
Wisconsin will now be invited to participate in the 30th annual Dutch Concrete Canoe Challenge in the Netherlands in September.
