>
The stabbing happened on Hill Street just after 10 p.m. Saturday. A 27-year-old Jorge Rodriguez Mendez was stabbed multiple times.

He was taken to a local hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
>
Police are looking for 22-year-old Christian Sanchez. He had been living in Sparta and may have injuries from the incident.
>
"We're looking at aggravated assault charge, of course the caveat there is that there was a weapon involved so we have the use of a dangerous weapon, and disorderly conduct," says Sparta Police Chief Michael Kass.
