Deputies say a little before 10 Monday morning, deputies found the body of a 42-year-old Rochester man who drowned yesterday while boating with his family

A boating trip on the Mississippi River for Father’s Day turned tragic for a Rochester family.

Deputies say the Minnesota father was in the water outside his boat without a lifejacket on Sunday near Alma when the current pulled him away.

Buffalo County Sheriff's Deputies say the man's teenage son grabbed a life preserver, but when he turned to throw it, his dad was gone.
>
A search crews found the body of the man in the river Monday morning.
