Search Warrant Turns Up Drugs

During a routine search warrant conducted on Thursday, Menomonie police along with the West Central Drug Task Force discovered a large methamphetamine lab in a trailer in the backyard of a local residence.

The Menomonie fire department's hazardous materials team and Wisconsin Division of Criminal Investigations agents responded and assisted with the lab.

One officer, dressed in a specialized materials suit, collapsed from heat exhaustion and was transported to a local hospital where he was treated and released.

A 35-year-old female was arrested on charges related to the search warrant, additional charges are expected.

Authorities said the methamphetamine lab is the largest lab found in the City of Menomonie.
