According to witnesses, a blue 2000 Dodge van was traveling northbound on STH 27 and a 1988 Peterbilt tractor with trailer was traveling southbound. The Dodge van then crossed over into the southbound lane of STH 27 and struck the left side of the semi trailer with its front left.
According to Chief Deputy Jamie Guttenberg, the driver of the Dodge van was identified as Larry L. Moe, 58, of the Town of Northfield. The driver of the semi was identified as Jonathon E. Kent, 38, of Colfax, WI. Moe was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel and Kent was uninjured.
The crash remains under investigation.
