Alzheimer's Association Information

Ten years after the former President Ronald Reagan announced that he has Alzheimer's disease. He succumbed to complications from the disease.

With new developments in research for medications and treatments, one of the best preventative steps to take is to stay healthy, which the Alzheimer's Association encourages through the "Maintain your Brain" campaign.

"Just as we take care of our physical bodies with exercise," says Director Karren Gunderlach, "the campaign encourages everyone to do things with your brain. Read, do puzzles, anything that will provide extra stimulation to your brain."
