No charges will be filed against the mother who left her baby in her car for almost six hours.
Dunn County District Attorney, Andrew Maki, says human services investigated and said it was a mistake and not worth a criminal charge. Investigators say the woman is an assistant professor at UW-Stout and accidentally left the baby girl in the car on Tuesday.
A person walking by called UW Police and officers had to break a car window to get to the baby out. She was ok and returned to her mom.
Maki says the baby was dressed appropriately for the weather and says the mother felt remorseful about the accident.

A spokesman for UW-Stout says an assistant professor forgot the baby was in her car when she went to work on Tuesday. Doug Mell says a person walking by the car called UW Police. He says the almost one year old girl was in the car for almost six hours.
She was ok and returned to her mom. Mell says the Dunn County District Attorney is reviewing the case for possible charges. He says the baby's mom was distraught over the accident.
