Sheriff's officials say 26-year-old Romaine Laplante of Woodville was driving on 140th Street in New Richmond around 10:00 Sunday morning when he left the road, hitting a sign post and trees. He was not wearing a helmet.
Laplante was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
