In less than a week, two news businesses have opened their doors in Eau Claire, and city developers are saying downtown is seeing revitalization.

Harmon Solutions Group held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for a new call center, expected to create 200 jobs. The city and county of Eau Claire, along with the Gateway Industrial Development Corp., loaned Harmon $200,000 to move downtown, a loan that will be forgiven after five years if the company employs 200 people and pays at least $10 an hour with benefits.

The company's president says he is happy to be part of Eau Claire, and the downtown revitalization. "We hired about 140-145 people thus far and we expect to far surpass the estimate we fave the city council with was 200. We anticipate within 12-18 months, we'll be at about 250 people."

Last week, Angelo's Ristorante officially opened on the corner of Eau Claire Street and Graham Avenue, the former site of Varone's Restaurant.
