MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Lake lovers will hear how they can preserve Wisconsin's waters at the annual Wisconsin Lakes Convention later this month in Green Bay.
Sessions include discussion of the National Lakes Assessment, a study that found 56 percent of lakes nationally were healthy, tips on lake-safe lawn care and plants that can reduce shoreline erosion.
The Wisconsin Lakes Partnership, a collaboration between the Wisconsin Lakes Association, the state Department of Natural Resources and the University of Wisconsin-Extension, is sponsoring the gathering. It's set to run from March 30 through April 1.
