On such a beautiful day, trash covered part of UW-Stout's campus, but it wasn't an accident.
It was all part of the St. Paddy's Day Trash Blitz on the Menomonie campus. Students dumped trash on the ground for several hours Wednesday and then sorted out items that could be recycled.
Student Jake Pulfer says many students think that the trash companies will sort their trash for them, but he says that's not always the case. Recyclemania is a national competition that began in January and ends next week.
