The Toro Company's multi-million dollar investment in their Tomah plant will add more than 30 new manufacturing jobs to the area.
Governor Jim Doyle announced that that the state will be giving Toro $250,000 in tax credits to supplement the effort. He said it's a great example of the direction Wisconsin is headed economically.
"Things are really turning around in this state," he said at a news conference in Eau Claire. "We're never going to turn our back on manufacturing."
The Governor later said that the tax credits will also help to maintain 550 existing jobs at Toro.
