Saturday, July 31st is the date for the state to sell off 150 vehicles at the University of Wisconsin's Agriculture Research Station in Arlington, Wisconsin off Interstate 90-94 north of Madison.
You could pick up a Contour or Crown Victoria for an average cost of $4,500, depending if the state gets what it expects from the sale.
Governor Doyle plans to cut the state fleet by more than a thousand vehicles by the end of the year. The governor says the state can get by on fewer vehicles, and more accountibility.
State officials say they expect to take in more than $600,000 from the sale, most of which goes to the state's general operating fund.
