A plea deal has been reached for 75-year-old Arthur Brenner of Eau Galle who is charged with two felony counts of injury by negligent use of a dangerous weapon.
Under the terms of Wednesday's agreement, Brenner cannot possess a firearm or engage in any firearm hunting.
Charges would be dismissed after five years if Brenner attends hunter safety classes and takes part in a restorative justice program which might include helping in the making of a hunter safety video.
Last November, Brenner was hunting turkeys when he pointed his gun toward a noise, and shot at two boys, permanently blinding one of them.
