The installation phase of the turf project began Friday morning. A five person crew will work 40 hours per week on the project until its completion, which is expected to take at least 21 days.
That doesn't sit well with City Officials who expected to see Carson Park host its first high school football game of the season in less than on week.
The city is attempting to expedite the process by increasing the number of workers assigned to the job and allowing the crew to work overtime.
As of noon today, Field Turf has violated the terms of their contract with the city, and is obligated to pay $2,000 each day until the job is completed.
