The parents of a Menasha girl who was killed in a fall from an amusement ride seek unspecified damages in a wrongful death lawsuit filed against the operators and the organizers of the festival where it happened.
Sixteen-year-old Elizabeth Mohl died July 14th after falling from the "Giant Swing" free-fall ride operating at Lifest, a Christian music festival.
Attorneys for the parents filed the lawsuit last week.
Oshkosh police say no criminal charges will be filed in the death, but an investigation found the device holding Mohl to the ride wasn't properly locked, and a safety rope wasn't properly attached.
