Just one finalist remains in the search for a new president at the Chippewa Valley Technical College.

Iowa Valley Community College Chancellor Tim Wynes withdrew as a candidate for the top position.

Current Vice President Bruce Barker is the remaining applicant. The board chairman wrote a letter to CVTC stating the board will meet soon to consider what's next.

The chair also says current CVTC President Bill Ihlenfeldt, will remain in that position as long as necessary to complete the process.

CTVC’s current President Bill Ihlenfeldt says, "The board of trustee is meeting Monday afternoon in executive session to discuss the plans to moving from this day forward."

Ihlenfeldt has served as CVTC president since 1994.
