ALTOONA, Wis. (WEAU)--An Altoona man is charged with child abuse after investigators say he repeatedly punished two children by making them do extreme physical exercises. 35-year-old Kevin Tadder faces two counts of physical abuse of a child.

According to the criminal complaint, the two children, ages 8 and 12, told police Tadder would make them stand on their tip-toes with their arms above their heads for several minutes. They say he would also make them do hundreds of push-ups and other exercises. One of the kids also says Tadder grabbed them by the throat and pushed them.

Tadder is scheduled to be in court next month.
