(WEAU) - The City of Altoona is planning on moving into a new public works shop.
City Administrator Mike Golat says the department doesn't have enough space in its current public works shop on Garfield Avenue, so Thursday night the council authorized selling it.
The council also authorized the purchase of a building on Bauer Street in Eau Claire to replace it. But the City of Altoona will have to get a conditional use permit from the City of Eau Claire to store equipment outside of its new building.
