(WEAU) - A local woman has won first place in a nationwide recipe contest.
Crystal Schmidt of Altoona won the Breakfast of Champions Wisconsin Potato Recipe Contest. She won with a Mediterranean Crispy Potato Breakfast Roulade. Schmidt won a $400 gift card from Williams-Sonoma for getting first.
The contest is sponsored by the Wisconsin Potato and Vegetable Growers Association.
Second place was won by a woman from South Carolina, and third place by a woman in Colorado.
