An apartment fire in La Crosse leaves one person injured

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) -- An apartment fire in La Crosse leaves one person injured.
The La Crosse Fire Department says they responded to a report of black smoke coming from a 7th floor window on south 7th street around 4pm.
The Fire Department says they found one person inside the apartment.
That person was taken to the hospital and treated for smoke inhalation and burns.
The apartment was moderately damaged by fire and heavy smoke.
Fire remains under investigation.
