Body of missing MN toddler found in river

ELK RIVER, Minn. (AP) -- The body of a 2-year-old girl who disappeared from the Wapiti Park Campground in Elk River has been found.

Elk River Police Chief Bradley Rolfe says divers found the body Sunday about 2:30 p.m., several hundred yards downstream from where Daisy Jo Holland disappeared. He says the body matches Daisy's description.

He says there's no indication of foul play. He says the investigation is continuing.

Daisy was last seen Friday evening. She was playing with other children while parents set up camp, and then she was suddenly gone.

Hundreds of volunteers scoured the area Saturday and Sunday. Search dogs on Saturday tracked her scent to the edge of the river but then lost it.
