Fall Creek, WI (WEAU) -- There's a flutter of activity in Fall Creek as butterfly enthusiast come out to appreciate the beauty of butterflies.

The Beaver Creek butterfly festival shows off 15 different butterfly specimens at Beaver Creek Reserve's butterfly house.

This afternoon was filled with activities from face painting and games to mini-seminars and butterfly gardening tips.

Reserve volunteer Sherry Sprauge says the goal is to education people about butterflies.
"It's teaching them about nature, all of our pollinators are in pretty bad shape because of habitat loss. Butterflies are pollinators as well as the bees, so it's education people about the life cycle and so forth about the butterflies."

If you'd like to check out the butterfly house, Sprague says it will be open until labor day.
