(WEAU) - If you were at the basketball game at Bloomer High School Friday night, you would have been seeing red…and a lot of it.
The fans held a Red Out highlighting heart disease. The American Heart Association says heart disease claims more victims than the next four leading killer, including cancer, combined. The school wanted to raise $1,500 but blew past that goal, collecting more than $2,400 before the game had even started.
All the proceeds go to the American Heart Association.
