EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – Eau Claire Police are about to start enforcing calendar parking rules later this week.
As of midnight November 1, cars and trucks can only park, stop, or be left standing on the side of city streets with odd-numbered addresses on odd-numbered days between midnight at 7 a.m. They can only be on the even-numbered side on even-numbered days between those hours.
The rules stay in effect until May 1. Violators end up with a $30 ticket.
EAU CLAIRE POLICE DEPARTMENT NEWS RELEASE:
Calendar parking will be in effect for all City of Eau Claire roadways November 1, 2012 – May 1, 2013.
Calendar parking regulations are in effect each day between midnight and 7:00 a.m. (Remember that the new date begins at midnight)
On odd-numbered days, vehicles shall only be parked, stopped or left standing on the side of the street having odd-numbered addresses.
On even-numbered days, vehicles shall only be parked, stopped or left standing on the side of the street having even-numbered addresses.
Drivers must also abide by any additional posted or regulated parking rules in conjunction with the calendar parking regulations.
The Eau Claire Police Department strictly enforces calendar parking regulations. Citations resulting from violations of calendar parking regulations are final and are not eligible for parking ticket mediation.
Please take the time to learn and understand the calendar parking regulations and explain them to your visitors in order to avoid a parking citation. Calendar parking citations are $30.
