(WEAU) - The City of Chippewa Falls will buy a lot where burned out businesses once stood.
The city planner tells us the council voted to buy the property where Hong Kong House and Touch of Class Ink were on Spring Street. Both businesses burned down in a fire in August of last year. The amount of the purchase offer isn't being disclosed.
It hasn't decided on the Tanfastic property.
Chippewa Falls will use that land and the former International Car lot property for its downtown entrance project. It will buy the car lot property through eminent domain.
