JACKSON COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) -- There is not much left of "Who Incorporated," a business off Highway 95 between Blair and Taylor.
It was once the Green Meadow Supper Club.

But amidst the charred walls, floor, and ceiling, firefighters say there is reason to give this fire a second look.

"Right now it's under investigation by the Department of Justice, Jackson County Sheriff's Department, and Taylor Fire Department," said Tim Rose, Assistant Fire Chief with the Taylor Fire Department.

Rose would not go into detail about the investigation and why the fire is suspicious. Investigators from the Department of Justice spent the day on the scene, walking around the building and taking pictures.

Rose says the direction from here on out depends on the Department of Justice's first look at the building. He says the D.O.J. is wrapping up its investigation of a fire that happened in Black River Falls a few years ago.

"It's been three years since the Rustic Mill Fire and they're just getting done with it, I don't know, depends on what they come up with their initial findings," Rose said.

As for Who Incorporated, Rose was told they are a business that tries to help out with the community. We obtained a Warranty Deed from Jackson County that shows Who Incorporated bought the building in 2006 from Christian Church in Western Wisconsin Incorporated, a non-profit.

We tried reaching out to the former building owners to help us get in touch with Who Incorporated for comment. We were not able to reach them by phone.

JACKSON COUNTY, Wis. (WEAU) – Investigators say a fire at a business that provides help to the community is considered suspicious in nature.

Crews responded to Who Inc. on State Highway 95 near Blair just after 2 a.m. Monday. The front porch and building was fully engulfed when they got there. Assistant Fire Chief Tim Rose of the Taylor Fire Department says it was deemed suspicious a couple hours after firefighters got to the scene. He did not elaborate.

Nobody was hurt in the fire. Rose says the state’s Division of Criminal Investigation is now looking into it.
