Fog is lifting in EC area. If traveling to Madison, plan ahead. Many #roadsflooded. @madisontraffic.

EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WEAU) – The dense fog is factoring into crashes on I-94.

The Wisconsin State Patrol responded to multiple crashes Wednesday morning. Among those crashes was a deadly crash at the bottom of one of the ramps heading from I-94 onto State Highway 29. The state patrol says a car rolled, and that one person died. There’s no word on the victim’s identity. It happened shortly after 6 a.m. Wednesday. One of the ramps at the interchange is shut down, but at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday, troopers told us they should have it cleared shortly.

Troopers say the fog is causing low visibility, and that’s factoring into the crashes. Drivers should plan ahead, drive with their lights on, slow down, and refrain from following other drivers too closely.
