Former mayor drops out of race after earlier announcing plans to re-run

The former mayor of La Crosse who announced earlier this month that he would run for the position again, has changed his mind.

John Medinger says his heart isn't in it, and he's dropping out of the race.
Medinger served two terms as La Crosse's mayor from 1997- 2005.

The current mayor, Matt Harter, is not seeking re-election.
