Former police chief found guilty of sexually assaulting boys

MENOMONIE, Wis. (WEAU) -- A former police chief accused of sexually assaulting two teenage boys has been found guilty on all charges.

The Dunn County district attorney's office says Chief Gary Wayerski was convicted of 16-counts including eight sexual assault of a child charges.

Wayerski was fired as the chief of police in the town of Wheeler.

According to the criminal complaint, Wayerski was mentoring a 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy when he showed them pornographic movies and computer images and inappropriately touched them.
