MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- A former prosecutor accused of sexual harassment is set to fight this week to save his law license.
The Office of Lawyer Regulation has accused former Calumet County District Attorney Ken Kratz of multiple ethics violations. The agency wants the Wisconsin Supreme Court to suspend his license for six months.
A case referee is set to take testimony starting Tuesday in Appleton ahead of making a recommendation on punishment. Kratz has pleaded no contest to six violations but plans to argue he's already been out of law practice for six months and a license suspension isn't necessary.
Kratz resigned in October 2010 after it was reported he sent racy texts to a domestic abuse victim. A number of other women also came forward accusing him of sexual harassment.
