Former jailer makes plea in sexual assault case
A former Monroe County jailer accused of sexually assaulting an inmate stood mute in court Friday.

(WEAU) - A former Monroe County jailer accused of sexually assaulting an inmate stood mute in court Friday.
Online court records show the court entered a not guilty plea for Jerry Friedl, 26, of Sparta, who's charged with four felony counts of second-degree sexual assault. According to the complaint, Friedl was employed as a Monroe County jailer when he had intimate sexual contact with a jail inmate on four occasions last August.
