Four teens caught damaging Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds

Police Lights

Four teenagers were taken into custody for causing hundreds of dollars in damage to the Northern Wisconsin State Fairgrounds.

In the last couple of months several windows were broken, doors were kicked in and fences were pushed over.

The Chippewa Falls Police Department says four kids, aged 13 and 14, were caught throwing rocks at the buildings.

The Executive Director of the fair says there is at least $3,500 in damage.

"These grounds are really for everybody to enjoy and by damaging them, you're only hurting the entire community, and that's kinda what's sad about this situation right now," says Executive Director, Rusty Volk.

Volk hopes someone will help donate money to fix the damage, otherwise it will have to come out of the operating budget for next year.
