Habitat for Humanity dedicates new home in Eau Claire

(WEAU) - One Eau Claire family is the proud owner of a new house.

The Chippewa Valley Habitat for Humanity dedicated the house on Folsom Street Wednesday night. The house will be going to the Lor family, a family of five, who say they are extremely grateful to everyone who helped build the home.

The president of the Chippewa Valley Habitat for Humanity says the dedication ceremony is an emotional experience. "Seeing these families, particularly the children when they discover they have new bedrooms and they're clean, new everything it's one of the most emotional times of my life. About 3 or 4 times every year, I get to cry with joy," said John Urice.

A Thrivent Financial for Lutherans program helped fund the construction of this home and provided volunteers to work on this project
