(WEAU) - An Illinois man was arrested after leading officers on a high speed chase through five counties.
State Patrol says it tried to pull over Steven Pearson, 40, of South Belloit, IL around 1:30 Monday morning when he took off. He led multiple agencies on a chase that went through Trempealeau, Eau Claire, Buffalo, Pepin and Dunn counties, including a short stretch where they say he detoured into a corn field.
It says Dunn County deputies arrested him nearly an hour after the original stop, after using spikes strips to stop him.
